Saatchi & Saatchi India Launches New TVC Elevating TMT Rebars Importance
Kolkata: Saatchi & Saatchi India has recently unveiled a new television commercial for Captain Steel, intended to boost consumer awareness in India's TMT rebars sector and underline their pivotal role in construction projects. This campaign spotlights the significance of TMT rebars (Thermo-Mechanically Treated reinforcement bars) in fortifying concrete structures by withstanding tensile forces and improving longevity. The primary aim of this initiative is to enhance consumer understanding by translating complex technical information into accessible messaging.
The TVC, featuring cricket legend Sourav Ganguly, draws a compelling comparison between cement and TMT rebars, emphasizing a fundamental engineering principle. While cement manages compressive forces, TMT rebars are crucial for handling tensile strength. The narrative prompts homeowners to give equal emphasis to both materials when building their homes.
Debanjan Basak, Executive Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi India, shared insights on the campaign, stating, “Our challenge was to emphasize the significance of an unseen product. By connecting cement and TMT, we transformed engineering principles into a relatable concept - that a sturdy home is founded on mutual strength.”
Amar Prakash, National Head – Marketing and Strategy (SLM) at Captain Steel, further added, “Captain Steel is committed to redefining the market rather than simply being part of it - through a legacy of consistent innovation in products and processes. This campaign aligns with our broader objective of educating consumers about the science behind durable construction. The strength of a home relies equally on cement and TMT rebars, and informed decisions can significantly impact the outcome.”
The TVC is currently airing on television and digital platforms, reinforcing Captain Steel's brand message of ‘Strong Home, Strong Nation’ and striving to foster better-informed decision-making among homebuilders.
